Summer is the best time to rent Abby's Lake House. Total outdoor fun - especially in the water! Jump right off the dock! Use the dock's ladder for getting back out so you can jump in again! When you're ready for something else, check out the water toys: noodles, rafts, basic fishing grear, boats, and more. Play in the water, lie in the sun, grill up some burgers. You'll find plenty of ways to enjoy your summer at Abby's Lake House.
Our summer vacation at the lakehouse
I must say we absolutely loved staying here. The lake and all the ammenities were perfect. The home was just lovely and more than enough space for everyone. I loved the fact that all we really needed was our food. The home is fully equipped with everything needed to enjoy a week or weekend of fun on the water or a bbq. It's a quiet neighborhood with lots of things to do in and around town or just a week of rest. It truly is the perfect little getaway.
The kids and I loved canoeing and kayaking from dawn to dusk. A morning walk and a fresh picked bouquet of wildflowers for the table, I truly felt at home. We will defintely come back and stay not only in the summer, but the winter too.
I would highly recommend this place to all my friends and family for summer and winter activities
Thank you so much for your hospitality

Fish Fishing from our dock and canoe has been described as "awesome". Largemouth bass, blue gills, perch and muskies are just some of the fish our guests have caught. We'll even supply your first container of worms! If they are available in our compost pile, we will bring a tub of them with us when we check you in. Just ask if you're interested. BUT fish aren't the only wildlife at our lake. Birds Great blue herons, a bald eagle family, Canadian geese, and wild turkeys live around our lake. Abby's Lake House bird feeders and flowers are frequently visited by chickadees, cardinals, robin redbreasts, nuthatches, and hummingbirds. Mammals Small mammals that you might see include little red squirrels, chipmunks, racoons, ground hogs, and beaver. Larger mammals include whitetail deer, and rarely a black bear. Don't worry though black bears don't want to be around humans, and will dash away quickly. Other Critters You may also find a reddish orange salamander around the rocks, a bull frog at the lake's edge, dozens of dragonflies, butterflies, water skippers, lady bugs and in the evening lighting bugs.
